About This Quote

The survival of everyone depends on the actions of each person. If we all did our part, everyone would be fine. However, not all of us can save the world. Some people must take a more passive role in protecting the safety and happiness of others.

For example, if a random person needs help, it is likely that no one else nearby would care enough to go out of their way to help that person. However, if that same random person needed help from people nearby to survive, they would have a much better chance for survival. In this way, it is important to remember the principle of immediate survival being more important than long-term survival.
